Hi, I thought v8 is a pay version I'm still on 7.5 and it updates every day and my e mail scanner is still working. Very Happy

I think you may have the wrong info ....this is from Grisoft:

Hi

AVG Free 8 was recently released it is an "improvement" on the free 7.5 version .....I say "improvement" as it does have more features but it is a little more complex and a bigger download. So if you are happy with 7.5 stick with it ... I am. ( for a while yet) It is still fully supported by Grisoft.
