Just a quick hello to all on this forum.

Joined just a short time ago but have not really introduced myself.

Been motorhoming now for some 20 years or so.

Enjoy a lot of fly fishing & cooking Thai meals. Laughing

Favorite overseas trips in van is Bavaria. Going again this year - our 12/13th trip I think.

Our new van is a Hymer S 700 G, which we took delivery of at Easter last year.

Also enjoy going back to my country of birth - Thailand - whenever business schedules allow.

Thai

Sawatdee back to you, I think that is right if I am a woman, maybe you can correct me.

Love Thailand, love Thai food too.

Welcome to MHF, we are fairly new too.

Enjoy your new van

Pat

Hi Patsy4

The correct / polite response for a lady / woman should be:-

" Sawatdee Ka" - The "Ka" bit should be pronounced with the "A" slightly ascending.

The correct / polite response for a man should be

"Sawatdee Krap"

Between friends then "Sawatdee" is O.K.

Here endeth your 1st Thai lesson. Laughing Wink

Thai

hi Thai,

My daughter in law is Thai and my son teaches Mauy Thai Kick Boxing and is a qualified referee.

Nice to see you have found your way onto this forum, my son has a big website with lots of info on, including language and cultural lessons....

They (the son & d-in law) go to Thailand twice a year, he takes along a group of his students, so that they can experience Thailand away from the usual 'tourist' spots....although I get the sneaky feeling Bangkok features on the tour at some point...

Bravaria is a great place to visit...
