We've owned ours for a mere 3 months, first MH. Driving down to where it's living at the moment I got to thinking how we arrived at owning "The Goose". The original idea started about two years ago. The plan was to buy a smallish van to put the motorbike in for touring further afield rather than knacker tyres on long boring journeys. After looking at vans we looked at modest motorhomes and a trailer, some how the idea turned into a beast with alife of it's own !! from small vans & Motorhomes we moved onto large MH's with garages.

Now two years down the line, we've sold the house, brought a large MH with a large garage and are off soon for a long trip.

So back to the original ? How did you end up owning a MH ?

P.S very seductive motorhomes, they should have a Gov.health warning Very Happy

We went to the show at Stratford Racecourse.

No intention of buying - just for interest since we live very close! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Hello,

Alway wanted one!

Have stayed in tents, Statics, Five Star Hotels and Megga Luxury villas. Never looked back and would rather be in the MH than any of the aforementioned. However, had I not taken those holidays the MH could be parked outside a luxury villa when I add up what they all cost us.

Back to the question, we spent a weekend with my Brother and his partner in their touring caravan. Decided it was our kind of hobby/holiday/lifestyle, just could not hack the idea of towing something that weighed anything up to 1/2 of the towing vehicles weight. That and all the phaffing about with steadies, towballs, turning cirlces, lane, restrictions, speed restrictions. more than anything not being a able to brew up or go to the thetford in a traffic jam.

Trev.

Believe it or not,my fascination started from when I go on metal detecting rallies. Rolling Eyes I used to sleep under a fishing umbrella for a couple of nights, when a few others, used to bring motorhomes and panel van conversions,to camp in style.

The feeling was so strong that for four years after I thought I wanted one I was still buying magazines and going to the shows every oppotunity I got, until I finally got one last year. One of the best things I have done. Very Happy

Afraid ours was keeping up with the Jones neighbours - Laughing not really - but they went off on hols last year in August it took em half a day to pack it full to rafters and they were off kids, everything packed in there and there was I sat looking, watching and wanting to beggar off.

Got me thinking as they went away alot and looked into it 3 months later weenay is parked in drive. Laughing Laughing

But now seen another at Peterborough and am a bit sick for it as we have outgrown ours almost by now and the Peterborough one has black leather interior is limited edition and just up my street just not quite up my street yet! its a N&B as well. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
