I have just changed out the power control unit in my 3 year old KonTiki replacing the Sargent EC200 with a EC350.

The service from Sargent Electrical was amazing! How nice to find a company staffed by friendly people who clearly take pride in both their pre and after sales service and customer care. I cannot thank them enough for their help.

Before I bought from them they talked me through the change over (easy “plug and play” with one small exception) and exactly what I would need. Afterwards when I had a small problem of my own making they quickly talked me through a solution.

Seems that I was their first Swift Customer to make this change, and there have only been two Autotrails upgraded so far.

Why did I change? Well apart from the lack of continual fan noise the new unit uses adaptive voltage control on a separate feed to the battery so that it is fully charged rather than only the 75% charge achieved by the standard systems in use today. It also has a direct input for solar cells removing the need for control kit and this does charge the vehicle battery as well as the leisure battery. The new Airstream caravan uses this system which does indicate that it is probably the best available.

Now that they are starting on direct sales to the public I wish them well, there are many other businesses who could learn a lot from Sargent’s excellent customer attitudes.
