Not so serious, but another example of the crap design (allegedly and in my opinion) from Fiat/Peugeot.
The big drain hole in the scuttle disappears down a wide tube and into the space between the inner wing and the plastic inner mudguard, from where it empties onto the road.
Good idea, except that the inner mudguard almost presses against the lower end of the tube, so it takes only a few leaves to block it up completely - as mine was.
See diagram - and apologies for rubbish mouse control.
Not a big problem as I said, since it will be easy enough to fix a little spacer to keep the (quite flexible) mudguard away from the pipe mouth - but this is something else that hasn't been thought about sufficiently, or don't they have leaves in Italy??
I'd suggest that everybody pops out to their truck with a big jug of water to pour down the hole. It will take a couple of pints I guess, but you will soon know whether yours is a drain or a reservoir!!
"Woe, woe and thrice woe" - as the scrofulous Senna used to say.
Cheers

how does the pipe block with leaves at the bottom?, what I mean is, do the leaves etc. go in from the top and fall down, or do they somehow get stuck when driving along?
I presume they go in from the top, then would a piece of mesh across the top of the tube/pipe prevent this. Something like the mesh on top of a downpipe sort of thing. a quick check when doing the basic vehicle checks would show the detritis and its cleared away.
or alternatively I could just shut up and mind me own business.

You could shut up, but I wouldn't if I were you.
They go in from the top, and as I type I'm planning to pinch a bit of mesh from Mrs Zeb's studio.
I think I'll also fix a little spacer to keep the bottom orifice wide open . This is one occasion when double incontinence would be a positive advantage.
I've just been out to test mine. I poured a jug of water down the tube and it came straight out at a decent flow-rate. It probably helped that yesterday when checking for water ingress, I cleared the leaves from the top orifice.
The wide bore tube which takes the water away down the side of the engine, is not too bendy, so I would have thought a flexible rod would soon clear any blockage.
