skiing in austria next week !! Forums

hi everyone we will be going on the 23 may to the hintertux in austria for a weeks skiing , we cant wait , im really looking forward to the whole thing ,its a great way to end the ski season ,we will be doing a weeks advanced ski course with pete silva of alpine coaching .Its going to be quite an adventure ,as were wild camping , im trying to think of everything we need ,but you dont know you need until you need it ,so we will report back on return and post pics , regards gary .

oooh i am jealous, we had to ski without the van this year but still went to italy skiing 3 times!!!have a great time and do report back, the snow in europe has been great this year and its been the longest season we have had for ages.

I do not know much about your van and whether it is winterised etc. My tip would be to leave your waste water valve open and drain the water into a bucket. I say this as in January 2006, my waste tank froze.

Saying that, will it be bitterly cold at this time of year? No idea! Stop rambling Russell.

I am green too as I missed skiing completely this winter. Have a good one.

We will get a flavour of the alps in summer as we will call in at Interlaken, and pop up to Wengen/Murren by train and walk it. This all next month on way to Italian Riviera.
