I saw an advert in a magazine recently advertising a tow ball bike rack with number plate holder. I cannot for the life of me remember the company. I have searched the internet but none appear to include the number plate holder. Any ideas. Thanks

hi
try Pendle bike racks or Thule. We have had both types and they work well

hi
reread post and checked our rack. The Thule bolt on has number plate and lighting board attached by screws. Not sure if it was an extra or came complete

I can confirm that Thule do supply one with number plate and lights - we bought one a while ago. Only extra I bought was the lock to stop it being undone from the towball.

company is pretty good and cheaper than most.

We have the "THULE Ride on Carrier 9502 - 2 bike carrier" (if you can find it. Their website isn't the best I've ever trawled through.)

A little more "polished" in appearance than the Pendle, but for function I don't think there's much to choose.

The Thule does have the built in number plate so that saves a bit, and it took our bikes to the south of France and back with no problems at all.

Cheers

Alko also do one which comes complete with number plate holder, lights, 13 pin plug and lock. We ran to Portugal, Spain and France this year and it was as solid as a rock. Not cheap but did the job.
