We have been motorhoming for approximately 5-6 years and are currently waiting for our 4th van. Love the freedom and it is the best for touring the alps - our favourite holiday passtime.
We are off to the Alps in 7 1/2 weeks and are looking for an aire in a village near Reims, just for an early morning stop to fill the time between tunnel and Chamonix; have taken some off the campingcar site but there is nothing like personal recommendation. Any thoughts greatly received.

We did the Grande Route des Alpes on our way down to Sicily las year - fantastic.
Nothing close to Reims, although there are many in the database. We did stop at Arcis-s-Aube on the way back - just south of Chalons and close to motorway. They have 2 Aires - one for utilities - dump, water etc - all brand new on a small industrial/sports centre estate where we did spend the night and at the other end of the village a lovely little grassed parking area amongst the trees.
