How easy is it to fit reversing aids? Does the rear skirt need to be removed and is there easy access to the rear lights? I guess ican run the cable inside the lockers? I dont ned a camera but rear sensors would be a help.

There are two types of sensors available for reversing sensors, one type you have to drill a hole for each sensor in the rear skirt, the other fits to the bottom of the skirt with a small bolt or self taping screw.
Have a look at Conrad Andersons website. I know he has the bolt on the bottom of the skirt type as fitted some on a friends Hymer recently.
I fitted the hole in skirt type (four of them) to my van.
Also you can get wireless systems, so no internal wiring to be done, have a look on Ebay where I got mine from. Just need wire to the reversing light for the box at the rear end, and a 12 volt supply for the display.

The Hymer I did was quite old and had a metal plate inside the boot covering the reversing lamp wiring, yours may be different.

I seem to get lots of false alarms from mine so fitted a reversing camera as well, think the sensors may be pointing down slightly and seeing uneven ground behind the van, they do warn when less than a metre from a solid object though.
Martin.
