I am very interested in fitting REMIS roof lights with fan assisted ventilation.
http://mobil.remiglas.de/172/?L=1
However I have repeatedly emailed the company for further details and have not received any reply.
I have used remis@remis.de which is the kontakt address given on the website
http://corporate.remiglas.de/home/?L=1
The pdf download does not give any technical details or dimensions, which I really need!
Has anybody ever tried to contact Remis?
Does anybody on here have any info on the REMItop vario? |

Pippin
We have a fan assisted roof light in our washroom but I'm not sure of the make or model and as Tincan is away for a service I wont be able to check until about next Thursday 29th. If you still want info check back with me after that. It works really well clearing condensation from mirror after we use the shower and is somehow linked to temperature but that too needs further investigation

Thanks for that.
The main reason for getting this REMIS one is that it appears to allow total black-out of light (essential for me to sleep!) while at the same time giving fan-assisted ventilation.
I just cannot get any reply from the firm.
Next step will be to phone Germany! |

Pippin,
the unit we have does not allow blackout but as it is in the washroom, behind a closed door, it doesn't present a problem. I would be more concerned about the noise level generated by the fan, it sounds a bit like a bee in a bottle, it would certainly keep me awake ifn we ran it at night.

Bumped this up in a parallel post:
Still no reply from REMIS in Germany.
However, I emailed motorcaravanning.co.uk who replied almost immediately:
I'm sorry but it doesn't look as if we will stock them again - at least not until the manufacturer revises the packaging and that isn't looking likely. (The big UK-Euro drive to reduce packaging has gone completely bonkers as far as we are concerned).
As a result we no longer carry nor have access to the product info.
Sorry!
Does any one out there have any information about installing the REMIS VARItop roof light or its specifications.
Does any one have info on another source of supply in UK?
Will try Marcle, but they do not list REMIS. |

Well, a week ago I managed to get through on the telephone to Remis in Germany.
The man I needed to speak to was not at his desk but his secretary gave me the his email address so I could contact him direct.
Guess what - no reply!!
Does anyone live in Cologne or is anybody likely to be driving through there who could go and throw a brick through the office window to wake Remis up? |
