Hi, Have been lurking for a bit and have just taken the plunge and joined (after all its only a tenner).

We've just upgraded from a van conversion to a small A-class so I can take OH with me when I go away. The van conversion did me proud doing lots of dog shows and even V festival and I was sad to see him go but SNT II is now parked on the drive (fills it rather!) and having had our first weekend away in it I can rather see his point. Going away in the Duetto was rather like one of those games we had as kids where you slid the panels round in the right order to make the pattern. 1 dog there, move 2nd dog, then collect 1st dog and relocate in original position and then work out how to get OH out of bathroom as ancient Spaniel is now curled up against the door Laughing

Hi SNT

Welcome to MHF as a fully fledged member. We also attend a few dog shows in ours. We photograph them and are set up to print on site etc.

Look forward to meeting you

Hi SNT and welcome, I see on another post you are going to Le Mans this year . There is a thread suggesting an informal meet for anyone interested

Might be nice if some of us can meet up.

We're getting there on Monday so we'll have plenty of time

Cheers Andrew! And I will look out for Stew when out with the dogs!

Took Le Pilote up to storage today so we have our drive back - its wierd not having to squeeze past the bike rack to get in through the front door.

Hello SNT and welcome to the site,

I know what you mean about the chinese puzzle with the van we are the same with ours only difference we didnt take our dog with us, the reason being he is very old and doesn't like traveling.

But now we have a young Cavelier King Charles so we will be taking her when we go away, just hope she likes it, seems to so far

Have safe journeys and enjoyable ones

Anne

She is very sweet and looks very like my parent's Cavvie cross. He is very like a Cavvie but slightly lighter built and with a longer muzzle so we are all puzzled as to what the extra ingredient is Smile

My dogs love the MH especially the new one as they all get to come. I did do a couple of Obedience camps and a Game Fair with all 3 last year but when I still had the Duetto I tended to only take 1 or 2 if I could.

Hi all, looked around the site for a few days (liked what I saw) before joining yesterday.
We bought an 1982 Mercedes B5400 Hymer 23ft last year and toured (2 humans, 2 dogs and our cat) for 6 months, we removed the dining seat behind the driver LHD and changed the direction that the dining table was fitted this gave us enough space to put 2 dog beds under the table permanently.
Both the driver's and passengers seat swivel so we did not need the foot space in front of the other dining seat facing forward. Our double bed is fitted in the rear so no worry about moving everbody about at night.
We did have a little bit of hassle with the cat litter box which had to be kept on the toilet floor during the day (and smelly poo's) while on the road other than this we had a lovely time Laughing and would still be on the road if the gearbox did not give up the ghost in Southern Ireland which had to be replaced with a Mercedes truck gearbox RHD (Only gearbox available)at enormous cost Shocked .
I have posted a request in the forum section for any info about a replacement engine 3 or 3.5 litre and 4/5 speed manaual gearbox for our motorhome so if anyone can help we would appreciate your input.
Thanks
skinnylizzie + family
