Hi Cath
I have had a look at my manual, my van being 1993, but it gives a list of drain valve positions for all models. The 544 is given as 'kitchen area, to the right of the fridge'. I assume this is the cold water drain with a lift up lever. My hot water drain is adjacent the cold water one but does not look like a valve at first glance. It is a short vertical tube mounted on the end of a hot water pipe coming off the water manifold. It rotates anti-clock to open, but also pulls up for a faster empty. If you refill the boiler but water comes out under the van when the taps operate, it hasn't been pressed down fully or rotated clockwise to close. Good luck.
Regards
Dave |

You don,t say what heater you have ?
If it,s a Carver Cascade water heater. You should find the drain plug on the outside of the unit , using the edge of a coin you can undo these, some models also have a small valve near the top that can be pulled out this allows air in the unit as the water drains down

Cath, i have a PDF version of the manual for all Hymers circa 1988 which is in 2 parts. I was sent it by Hymer themselves. PM me with an email address if you want it.
Which model do you have? I have a 1988 B544 and the hot water drain is under the sink to the right of the fridge. |

Many thanks, to all concerned. I have found it finally. Yep like everyone and the manual said it is to the right of the fridge under the sink. It was however, hidden below a plyboard panel that needed to be leavered up at the edge.
Again, many thanks, everyone. |
