Hi
We were about to but a maxview omnisat crank up sat system but today we've been told by staff at marquis motorhomes that they dont sell this model anymore due to faults with the crank up handles coming off, leaving the dish spinning and potentially damaging it.
Does anyone know about this problem?
We'd also like to hear from anyone who has this system and is happy with it.
In addition, if anyone can suggest a suitable alternative (and a company that will fit it) we would be very grateful
regards Computer

Here is an alternative Link

But I would guess there are 100,s of people out there that are more than happy with the Maxview crank up.

system handle has never fallen off, ever. I fitted the unit myslef and it has performed superbly.

100% Recomend it and 100% the Services of Shane at Snellyvision who talked me into it and saved me a small fortune over the fully autos.

Go for it!

Trev.

Hi

I always thought the crank up stuff would be a major psycological drama to use, so I opted for an automatic thing.

In recent weeks, I ave been asked by various campers to help set up their free standing or roof mouted systems. One such installation was driving me bonkers, so in the end, I phoned Shane at

- and, bear in mind that meither me or the camper are his customers, after a couple of phone calls, we were up and running.

Based on this, ifI was buying tomo, I would get a Maxview and get it from Shane.

We have had our maxview for almost a year now, supplied by snellyvision and Glenn fitted it himself easily. We have never had any problems with the handle or any part of it. In fact recently a friend wished he had brought the Maxview crank up instead of the fully automatic all singing and dancing system he got, costing well over £2k. While we were away recently we recieved sky digital as far south as Madrid and in Morocco we could still get Astra B for the sky news and BBC world news as well as local chanels, whereas our friend would have had to get up on his roof with a spanner to alter the angle of the LMB to be able to tune in there. Needless to say the sports news was always watched in our van Cool
