Hi All,

Spotted this in The Telegraph, Honest John section this weekend a web site that may help the memory impaired of us!

www.askmid.com

Type in your registration or of that pleb down the road who keeps giving you problems and find out if the vehicle is insured or not!

Regards

Chris

bandaid,

Your insurer is obliged to update the MID database with the policy details within a certain timescale. There are some exceptions to the rule. So it may be worth asking your insurer?

I will, but not today, last day of filming, so started at 0630, projected finish at 2300. May be later tho'.

Tomorrow, I have the HMRC, Insurance people, my business bank, poxy gas supplier and the bloke whats doing the service on the car to contact.

Also, of course, theres the RV Wi-Fi to sort, the satellite to arrange, and the stuff to send to my clientelle, ( posh init) for the contract on Thursday and one for next week.

My poor phone is going to be red hot before lunchtime.

Hi bandaid,

This database is the one the police use to check vehicles, so I agree if you are not on it, get it checked straight away!

Perhaps your broker has decided to keep your money!!

Regards

Chris

It works for our vehicles and confirms when I put in one digit wrong that that vehicle does not exist on their database (something the police told us when I gave them the wrong number after a theft of a trailer with the correct number on it).

Could be a useful tool if you happen to have a comnputer plus web accessplus the address if someone bumps you, I know many mobile phones do now have web access so it could be worth retaining.

Thanks for the informaion.
