Last month I drove my UK reg (C7KEN)motorhome to England and sold it to my daughter. Yesterday she rang me to say that some low life had forced open the door of the leisure battery locker and taken the distribution/charger unit. The plugs were still on the wiring so obviously the scum had a similar van and needed the same unit. This is not something I would ever had thought of someone stealing but I guess it was for a Kentucky or Rimor and the disappointing thing is that it is likely to be taken for others using the van for motocross and may even be in a van parked next to my daughters at the weekend. She has two dogs that normally make a racket when strangers are near but she heard nothing so did they remove it during daytime when she was at work and could not hear the dogs.

Hi Ken
sorry thhear of your saga
you must realise that these scum only steal for two reasons.
They need the stolen property for themselves or to sell on to pay for drugs etc.
Recently a caravan was stolen 3 doors away in broad daylight.
A "recovery vehicle" reversed up the drive with orange lights flashing and winched the c/ van onto the back.
The c/van had a bulldog wheel clamp and tow lock fixed.
The owners were in the back garden and had only hadc/van four days.
If the rif raf of life want it they will get it
Was it reported to the police?
Regards Dave p
Yes it was reported to the police who said they could not get fingerprints off it. They stole a rear reflector at the same time .I dont want to say too much on the web but we may recognise this item on another van. I expect these items to turn up in the paddock at some motocross meeting and with the amount of friends we have in this sport all similar vans will now be inspected. If we can pinpoint the thieves they will regret doing this to our family as they will find it inear mpossible to attend proper race meetings in the future. I think that if they own one of these vans they will not be fun riders and probably race but could be in schoolboy racing. Not a good example to set for the kid who is the rider
