Hi
I have a 4m Fiamma 45i awning & I recently aquired a 4m Fiamma privacy room - however I cannot get the two to meet by about 100mm (4") - what am I doing wrong? - It almost looks as if the legs of the awning are in the wrong place - however these do not seem to be adjustable as they bolt into the end caps. I assume as the two items seem to be made to match each other that they don't requite any alteration?
Any help / advice much appreciated.

Hi,

It is very simple BUT very difficult to put into written words, if you are local to us, call in and we will show you how to put it all up and assemble.

If not give Darren or John a ring and they will be pleased to explain it to you over the phone.

Regards

Peter

Does your privacy room have poles going from the van out to the edge of the awning ? . . could be that the pole 'connectors' at the awning are in the wrong place [not easy to visualise I know ]

* As far as I know the info I post is correct - but to be on the safe side you are advised that (a) I´m not always correct and (b) I´m not always correct

Hi,
Unfortunatly I'm in the Lake District (well you know what I mean!).
The awning is the clip type - but I'm pretty sure the attachments are in the right place. I think the side (clip) bars probably need shortening as the back edge of the privacy room has a 100mm gap from the van - but my main problem is that the front panel does not extend to the awning legs - as these things come in 500mm increments & I only miss by less than 100mm I'm pretty sure they're the right combination. Where the clips sit over the awning leg brackets seems to be wrong. Are the awning legs supposed to be in line with the actual fabric of the awning ('cos they're not)?
If I 'stretch' the sides round the poles to meet up with the front then I'm left with a 'hole' at the juncture that will flood rain in if it rains.

thanks

It sounds like we have the same Fiamma Safari room and we find that it's impossible to do up unless you unzip the door. Once we've done that, we can zip up the corners in line with the front awning legs, then zip up the door. It still takes 2 of us to get the beginning of the zip together, but once connected, it's fine.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Mob2
If the weather stays like it is up here today then I'll give that a go tonight.
On the same topic then - should I now consider cutting back the clip system to get the safari room to meet the van?

Hi,

Not sure about the final bit. Are you saying that the sides are not big enough? We have a long cushion that fits between a pole and the motorhome body. The other end comes in line with the awning legs. It sounds like you may have the wrong size safari room. Hope not!
