Just cooked a lovely tasting soup using the following ingredients and ONE pot:
Tin of tomatoes, reduced down for about 15 minutes
Jar of Puttanesca sauce
Half a pack of smoked sausage
1 Pepparami firestick
Give it a whirl..........
The result? A subtlely spicey tomato soup. Best served with tiger bread and lots of salted butter.
Yum and indeed Yum!

Sounds good, I love one pot cooking. I am trying to stay away from jars of sauce though so would have to make the puttanesca from scratch! I do love tommy soup but have never thought of adding the spicy sausage.
I am having a one pot meal tonight, bit of a cornbeef onepot.
Lightly fry some onions in a wee bit of olive oil, while they are frying chop some carrots and spuds (into smallish bits to enable quick cooking) and add them to the pan as you go. I also add parsnip sometimes depending on if I have any in. Once everything is in the pan, add enough water to simmer the veg in (do not completely cover the veg) and also add a beef stocky cube. Put the lid on and leave a while - leaving the lid on saves on gas - very important for us fulltimers! When spuds nearly done add a tin of marrowfat processed peas and a tin (I use reduced fat, reduced salt) of corned beef. Simmer for a further 5 mins or so then add a wee bit of gravy powder to thicken.
Mmmmm, serve with fresh crusty bread and butter. True winter food on a warm summers evening!
