That is a shame, I am on a non starter until a recorder is available.
Thanks for the info.

Shane,
Yes Humax Foxsat-HD. Brilliant box, and it was the first to market that was working. Unfortunayely, the Alba boxes only started working properly after the OAD on 3rd July.

Peedee,
Unfortunately, the freesat launch did not go too well with many boxes still in development at launch. Humax had scheduled the DTR for September, contrary to freesat's forecast of July, but freesat have imposed new specifications that have necessitated a redesign of the chip. They now do not expect to have a prototype before Sept/Oct. I shall post as soon as I see one. The stores are really p****d off because they are constantly having to fence off customers who like you want recording facilities.
Lack of foresight but typical BBC.

I had chance of Humax boxes ages ago, but didn't bother as its mains so not much good for my customers. At home I don't have a need for another receiver... or should that be, I havent got room for another receiver! Laughing

Just hand her the Visa card and send her off to the shopping centre - keeps em sweet, cushions the blow when they find out how much you just spent on the latest toy. My latest toy is a radio controlled helicopter, which she rolled her eyes at several times when she saw it. She wasn't impressed that I tried to fly it in the house too.... Laughing

Radio controlled helicopter, yup tried that, not too happy when it descended at a rate unsuitable for sustained life. Now she's complaining about the RC boat.
