Hope no one laughs at this question but.......

WE have bought a 1981 Transit Ci Motorhome and to be honest, the curtains in it are, at best hideous. Does anyone know where we could get replacements or should we look locally for an old lady with a sewing machine. This I can assure you will be the first of many questions, as we are totally new to this game, but want to get the most from our Ci and escape the rat race now and again, Jim

I agree with M&D -n it's time to for the sewing machine. Won't take much material and you can choose exactly what you want. If you have any windows without silver screens I would line the curtains with blackout lining (I know blackout sounds very dull but you can get it in white). The only place we have curtains and no silverscreen is between the living area and cab area, although the curtains are dark blue they let the light in so intending to make some blackout linings.

There are lots of people who can give you all sorts of information and help you enjoy your new adventure.

Hi

I will second that, (the above post) I went to a store and bought thick material, and some velcro, sew on and stick on, Big sister made the curtains, across the back of the cab, with a few bits of velcro down the side walls just rear of the cab doors, it makes all the difference in cold weather,

Just like home Laughing

All the best

First thing we did when we got our new Dethleff home was to take down the Orrid curtains and nets. Now just have the blinds much better, not so cluttered and strangely the inside looks much larger without stupid curtains

I like having curtains up 'cos I got sick of people nosing in the windows Rolling Eyes

My motorhome had curtains made from a beautiful emerald green sari, and I'll be transferring them to my Bongo.

The back door (the whole back lifts up) will have long voiles so I can sit inside with the back open, without feeling as if I'm in a goldfish bowl. I do like me privacy toothy1

And then at night I'll put the silverscreens up Cool
