During the last six weeks we have been touring 'oop north'. All this time I have been driven close to a mental breakdown by annoying and very loud sqeaking noises from back aft. It got worse over rough roads and only subsided when driving over some of the very smooth roads in the far northeast.
I put the blame on the weight of the LCD TV in its dedicated locker and removed it, all to no avail.
Anyway while driving across the CC site at Garlieston OH was sat in the back and suddenly yelled I've found it!! Lo and behold, bless her l'il cotton socks she had traced the squeaky demon to the dining area window.
On closer inspection and much pushing and prodding we realized that the squeak was produced by the window clip acting like a violin bow and the window taking the part of the violin sound box. I could have kissed her, but fought the feeling and patted her on the head.
So on our way back to Ingerland we called into a Homebase at Dumfries and purchased a packet of Velcro 'coins'.
I used the hook (rough) side and stuck them where the clip makes contact with the window frame....aaaahh bliss, at last I can hear the dulcet tones of TomTom's Jane sending me down another narrow lane into oblivion.

Seriously though, that is a good tip. I think we all get plagued with the odd annoying squeak or rattle and tracking them down is often just the start of the solution!

Now we just need a solution to " Janes" predeliction for narrow, low branched and twisty routes to meet a combined harvester or "oblivion" Wink
