Have any owners of the swift bolero/bessacarr 560/ace airstream owners, had any problems with their radio reception in particular mw. i have had to have fitted another ariel fitted which has cured the problem, but the downside its been fitted on drivers side wing. the radio dealer could not find any ariel on my mh only coax which went somewhere behind the dash.

My understanding is the the aerial is in one of the wing mirrors.

Hi yes we too have problems, this has been on on going problem from new, and to this day is not sorted...........funny enough we were talking about it this afternoon as we couldn't get the radio.

The Fiat dealer was supposed to have sorted it the other week BUT sadly it is still the same, if anyone has any suggestions we would be happy to pay to get it sorted.

It seems that it is the wiring to the wing mirror that is the problem.

If it is the X250 chassis, the antenna coax goes to the centre of the cab just above the interior light. If you are lucky the motorhome manufacturers may have put a few feet of wire onto the end of the coax, or in most cases nothing. This would be the antenna position if it were just a panel van. Find this antenna pretty poor, though suspecting interference from the onboard computer.
Also had a wing mounted antenna which is also poor and quite directional. Ended up using an internal glass mount antenna which works but still not brilliant.
Martin.

Well I am surprised, I always thought it was in the windscreen, like the Ford have.or had.

The radio man, undid the cab light but could see no evidence of the coax in the overhead area. he suggested that it could just be coax with no arial.Anyway the new arial is working fine, now good for 5 live, talksport, test match special, all to the bosses anoyance. (I hope its not going to be sport all the time instead of radio 2 she said,)
