Just had confirmation from Peugeot that they have now finalised the solution to the judder issue. The fix consists of a remapping of the engine at tickover to give more torque together with a modification to the gearbox where they plan to change the reverse gear to a lower ratio.

Take me somewhere I can breathe
I´ve got so much to see
This is where I want to be

Ciao tutti,
Im presuming you all know that the Peugeot, Fiat X250, and Citroen Jumper all come out of the same SEVEL factory (Societe' Europeen pour Vehicules Leger) and are therefore practically all the same chassis. What is good for a Peugeot fix should be good for a Fiat fix.
According to some Italian forums, it is just the bigger engines, too highly geared in reverse, that suffer the problem.
saluti,

Mine too. No judder though but the clutch stinks...

Lets hope this is the beginning of the end of this fiasco.
One small snag I can think of is that John's Peugeot is the 5 speed version, and nothing is clear about whether the 6 speed box is included - which of course is the one which is causing most aggro. Criucially it is also a very complex design of box.
Hopefully it will be, but I spoke to Fiat UK yesterday and they said nothing had changed.
