The filler nozzle has an auto shut off system that should prevent it.
Much like the 80% shut of on proper refillable gas tanks.
Fortunately if it does all go wrong for someone taking the advice from the forum, it's not me that gets sued!!
But if it's written by a mod, what is the forum owners situation?

Forum posts are not legal advice, they are for discussion purposes only.

Moderators are also forum members just like every other member and are entitled to express their opinion just the same as everyone else. As a general rule they try to post in a responsible manner but there are no rules saying they have to do so. If a moderator posts on behalf of the forum owner or other staff they should clearly state this in the text of the post. The views expressed here by M&D (or indeed by myself earlier in the thread) do not in any way represent the views of the forum owner or any other member of staff.

Not true I'm afraid (although I understand what you mean in this instance).
Advice given here by any member or indeed by a moderator in a personal capacity is the sole responsibility of the poster. Anyone seeking damages in respect of advice offered here would need to seek redress from the poster, not the forum.
PS: In my view, advice or "discussion" becomes "Legal Advice" as soon as someone decides to take legal action disputing the wisdom of that advice or "discussion".
The subject of mods "culpability" has been discussed on many forums.
The test of how "the man on the Clapham omnibus" may view a moderators comments as opposed to an ordinary forum member is important in such a situation.
Members may think, rightly or wrongly, that mods have some special knowledge of the subject discussed in any forum (how else can they 'moderate'? ). The members may see the subject of adapters being brought to their attention for the second time this year and on that basis decide that they are approved by other mods or the post would have been removed.
Whether it is a convenient truth or not moderators are seen by many as having a position of authority and this should have a bearing on a moderators freedom of posting.
Be assured whatever happens I am correct in saying it wont be me that gets sued!!

Right then, so that nobody gets sued etc, lets stick to facts as I find them.
IF you are incapable of of screwing an adapter onto a empty bottle instead of the regulator, opening the valve, fitting the filling gun, dispensing fuel (to the right amount for your bottle size)then shutting off the manual bottle valve, disconnecting the filling gun,pay for fuel, remove adapter and put in a safe place ready for it's next use then you can fit your regulator back on the bottle and enjoy the gas you have purchased, then indeed in my opinion you should not use one of these adaptors. If on the other hand you feel you can follow the simple instruction's they are a very handy money saving devise.
Alan I just hate it when I get ripped off,I paid £48 for mine with euro adapters and p/p £2 you should have bought a few hundred at least
