Translations french to english using babelfish Forums

A number of people have recommended Babelfish, I have never had any success with Babelfish I.E This is a translation from a description of an aire in Camping-car .com. this is just an example but not a lot of use.

French. bruillant le feu tricolore d'un gros boulevard 2X2voies est a 10 metres

English bruillant tricolour fire d' a large boulevard 2X2voies has 10 bills of quantities.

Hi Sid, I always use Google translate, it better than bablefish IMHO, heres what it made of that sentance:

Do you just put "translate" in the google search.

Having worked in France and taught the languages for 30+ years I wouldn't trust any translation software!

Beware of using words like do and get when translating into French

One boy once tried to send a latter to a penfriend and put in
Do you love riding on your bike like me and got

Faites vous amour sur velo comme moi =
Do you make love whilst riding you bike like me

My brother wrote a letter to a really old war hero

I hope you are keeping well

and got the French which meant I hope you aren't going mouldy!

ALWAYS translate back the other way to make sure what you've got makes sense
