I have a wireless internet conenction at the site we are on but having problems with it. Its probably me as I am not that up on wireless.
I can get conencted and it records a good signal but then freezes amd when I check my wireless program it says authentisising or something along those lines. If I switch wireless off and then on it is normally ok. However this happend every few minutes so its not worth using as it is.

Any ideas on how to improve?

Morning Stew,
Does it do the same if you are outside the MH.
On my Dell laptop, if I have my hands over the bottom corners, I tend to lose my WiFi signal from the home hub.
Off topic. (BTW, I am really impressed with the signal strength from this 3 dongle thingy, (4 bars on HSDPA), and I get 5Gb per month for £7.50.)
Jock.

Stew - I had similar problems and it turned out to be something to do with the fact I had the unlocked Vodafone datacard in place. The datacard could also act a a wireless receiver in addition to the laptop's built in wireless receiver.
I just removed the datacard and selected "always use windows......for wireless."

Judging from your avatar Jock, you never had the same problem with Rita.
Sorry - too much to resist.
Shall definitely not be calling in today as Mrs Zeb has come down with the lurgy now. Shame as it would have been great to meet up at "Bistro Jocque et Reeta" for a natter.

Hi Dave,
Sorry to hear about Mrs Zeb. Hope she recovers soon.
Have you "upped the anti" on those cream crackers yet?
Hi Stew, Russell has a good point there, as the two can conflict with each other, especially if the wireless facility is left "on" when the datacard is slotted in. I get into the habit of disableing my wireless facility, when I am going to use the datacard, or my recent 3 dongle.
I can't think of anything else that would cause you WiFi to freeze up, other than a poor signal. Did you try it outdoors?
Jock.

I think it must be signal. I have been online for a few hours via wireless with the vodafone card in place with no problems. Then up pops the problem. I disconnected the voda but the problem was still there
