Hi

I would take the motorhome to a child seat specialist and seek their advice.

Hi Subaru

My advice - go to nearest large Mothercare 'superstore' which should have a really big car park outside - park close to shop go to the large child seat area and explain your needs. They will come and look at the van and help you to try various seats until you find the best one to fit the belt/seat configuration.

Mothercare have a really large selection of seats and 'trained' staff so its just about as good as it gets. Be patient though because if they are busy at the childseat counter you may have to wait a bit because they are thorough with customers and that takes time. Also don't assume that store opens at 9.00am - sometimes its later (mind you waiting is no problem as long as you remember the kettle/tea bags/milk ........)

Lots of stuff on childseats on the forum over the past year if you do a search

Good luck - vital to get it right.

Hi subaru,no idea on what seat is suitable for your van but we use britax seats in our vehicles for both our kids

I rate them highly, very sturdy and comfy(I think, never squezzed in one mind!)
just seen jagmans reply, mothercare is a good plan,I remember them being very informative and helpful.Don't think our local store would of come out to the carpark though, bout 10 mins walk... We went there for info and to see choice but found same seats much cheaper elsewhere

this is the best advice. accept nothing else. You're looking to ensure the safety of your child. Without being rude, why the heck are you enquiring from amateurs?

You need good, solid, expert, experienced professional help. And you should also buy the seat from a professional and have it fitted, and demonstrated by the same.
