We are about to go on an extended trip to Europe, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany etc.
We would like to be able to stay in touch via Email. We can use internet cafes and perhaps libraries but think it would be more convenient to use WiFi hotspots if we can find accessible ones. We have a 3 dongle but the cost is huge.
Does anyone know where we can find lists of accessible WiFi hotspots which we can download for reference. We have seen plenty of web sites listing hot spots but you need to be connected to use them.
Chicken and egg. You need to be connected to the internet to find out where you can connect to the internet. Any help would be much appreciated, Regards, Alan.

Thanks Philjohn,

that looks the kind of thing but I cannot seem to save it on my computer so that I can refer to it when off line. Have you managed to save it and if so how please, Alan.

Can you not just copy and paste the bits you want in to a word doc and save?

If you are using satnav you can download loads of lists at www.gps-data-team.com. Will give you wifi hotspots, McDonalds, etc. and loads of other info.

Hi erneboy
Enjoy your trip, we will be looking out for the big Frankia on the continent, we are not leaving until the middle of October. Just back from 16 days away and the oven only conked out once and relit straight away and was used every night , but again if I get any information I will get back to you.
I will keep an eye on this posting as regards WIFI , I know exactly where you are coming from as I would like to use the laptop with out paying out a fortune.
