Went on Thursday, thought it was very quiet but enjoyed the layout.
Wanted to change the van but got cheaper prices off the net and via phone than the 2 x dealers we spoke to.
Not too many bargains but the offer from Spanish site owners for stays of 1 month or more, we thought were very good. Ideal for full timers seeking winter sun.
Did not buy anything in the and but it was a good day out and beats working.
Doesn't mean it isn't bad practice though because if a significant current was being drawn the heat generated by having the cable coiled would be excessive and constitute a fire risk.
I posted before, German, knocks on door, "Ihre strom ist gud ?". So I investigated his power. He had a coiled up cable running a caravan AND an electric BBQ. Unscrewed the middle of the HOT cable drum and reset the thermal trip. England 1: Germany 0. Just plain cable resistance caused heat. He couldn't even speak a word of English, I was well chuffed.
Sorry no idea, this was a fearsome big beastie. Looked at first glance to be the typical cast iron Hibachi but where the charcoal should be were electric elements.
I went to the show Tuesday and Wednesday ( 2 day ticket), staying in a site near Warwick in between.
I thought the show was quiet, there was no problem getting into the NEC car parks, and no problem looking around the larger acessories stands, which usually get rather congested.
I was particularly looking for a low fixed transverse bed with a small garage, bench seats, and no longer than around 7 metres. The previous year's Autocruise Starblazer SL (not the XL) was a contender, but is not now made, so the only one that fitted the bill was the new Autotrail Apache 632, until I looked at the payload. A miserly 390kg before an engine upgrade, or an SE pack, which knocked it down to 305kg. Then add a spare wheel (not included), a second battery, some other accessories, water, etc, and there is not much left.
In fact, there are quite a few smaller MH's with poor payloads, all trying to remain below 3500kg gross weight, I guess.

must say we were very dissaponted with the show today. we were expecting lots more accessory dealers and bargains to be had. we were only there for 2 hours and then left.

pickering was far better IMHO
I agree with above we only stayed 4 hrs I think the main reason for lack of accessory dealers would be the prices for the show. Motorhome manufactors have more profits to spend than accessory dealers have.

Lucy 2 is our motorhome, Lucy 1 was a 45ft Narrowboat sold for Lucy 2. Lucy was a German Shepherd female the love of my life ( after the wife of course)
the accessory stands there were seemed to be spread very thinly. I did spot lots of empty space which I'm sure the organisers were expecting to fill with these smaller guys.
Excellent show for looking at vans, very poor for anything else.
we also noticed that a majority of the new vans seem to have the garage and fixed bed!
every dealer seemed to have these vans but not so many of the 'normal' ones. is fixed bed the new black? just seems such a waste of space on the smaller vans IMHO
