The infrastructure is getting there; it's just a question of how low cost is low cost ....
"The extension of low-cost Broadband connections to maritime and aeronautical communities will improve the quality of tele-services such as: telemedicine and disaster relief. The inclusion of omni-directional terminals extends voice and data services to other mobile communities who require smaller and cheaper terminals."
I need internet on the move and spent a fortune last summer with internet over GPRS £1000 in one month by mistake. Now I don't use it and luckily on the site I am on La Manga Spain they have wi-fi. I have been looking at Datastorm from Transleisure but the installation cost is 6500 pounds then 99 pds per month. Does anybody have an idea what BEGAN costs it was advertised at 1pd mgb, does anybody have any help on this.

Looked at that, it looks fine but it's still 5 pounds a mb, which sounds a lot, I have just been on the web for about 15 mins and the data logger says 1.6mb already, 1.3mb recd and .3mb sent, do with that system I would be at about 8 pounds. I don't know what to think at the moment, will have to do some more calculations, thanks for the link.
