I have been reading this forum pretty much none stop for 2 days.
I have to say you guys and gals are a really friendly bunch and I can't wait to get on the road.
I am going full time if I can get my budgeting sorted out. I am going for the Hymer cc644. If you can offer guidance on some pricing I would be grateful. I have these prices from Brownhills.
Alarm and Tracker £1500
Eborspacher £2000
120Watt solar panel £1000
Awning and sides £1500
Ari Con (roof mounted) £2000
Ladders and Rack £900
These prices all include fitting. Can you recommend anywhere cheaper?
I also need internet access, I have a quote for £6400 from www.transleisure.co.uk Is it possible to get it cheaper elsewhere?
I run an internet company and need access 24/7.
I am selling my house to fund this and travel round Europe. I could do with getting the costs down a little so any help would be really appreciated.
Cheers

Welcome Gromett. I'm not really experienced enough to offer advice but many others can and will. I do hope your company is not NTL otherwise this is the last time I shall talk to you.
The Ari Con sounds good value.
I'd love to sell my house and do what you are going to do but the other half is a bricks and mortar lover. In fairness to her though, I can see her problem letting me drive all our worldly goods and on balance thinks I have less chance writing off a house than a m\home although some of our friends and family would not be so optimistic that I wouldn't manage that either.
Look forward to hearing about your preparations and eventual journeys which I wish you safe and problem free.

I have found that Brownhills are not the most competitive as far as prices are concerned and that is including the fact I hold a discount card.
I didnt notice where you are located but there are several specialists around the country who can sort the alarm and solar panel followed by many dealers.suppliers for you accessory item. With the shows starting they would be a good starting point

Thanks guys
Pusser, The aircon is the selfcontained roof mounted unit. Not so sure if it is such a good price at that.
Shame the wife won't let you play. I suppose I am lucky being single footloose and fancy free
Lizzie, Thanks for that, I am not sure if it covers Scotland or not. I am mainly interested in Europe as I intend to spend a year or two over there
My business is an ISP/Hosting company. Not sure whether to sell or not as I can run it from anywhere with the satellite internet thingy
I am wanting to get off tomorow if I could, but it will just have to wait for the house sale and other finances to be sorted. I am hoping to have the wagon in about 4 weeks though. I really can't wait.
I suppose I had better get to one of the shows and start hunting for bargains. Should be fun. When is the next one that is worth going to.
I am based just north of Nottingham but my offices are in London.
Thanks again all

Hi See your quoted £2000 for the Eberspacher think it may be a bit high, but then ours was already in the van.
We would recomend them, we have had some experience of using it in winter
If you are getting an Ebber then consider the alternative Eber Air con; which can be used when travelling as well as on site - both use diesel fuel
Most others can only be used on site or when the engine is running. They are heavy on electrics

Thanks Pete,
You say they are heavy on electric. Do you have a wattage for that by any chance? I am installing a 110W solar panel to charge the liesure battery.
Regards
