We have finally purchased a MH after a lot of dreaming.

Is it possible to purchase a narrow safety gate to keep our one year old inside when the rear door is open?

Hi Slow, welcome to the site.

Not sure if it would work, but the wife suggested some of that expandable trellis. You can get it in plastic or wood, you would just need a means of fixing it.
Whatever you do, it doesn't want to be too permanent.
A more expensive solution would be to have the door one of those stable types. Either new or have yours modified.

Wouldn't a safety gate fit inside the door frame, against a cupboard and wardrobe?

Sorry if this is of no help

Hi Slow, welcome to the forum Very Happy

I'm sure you can get narrow gates, www.johnlewis.com have a selection including adjustable and travel versions. My Dad makes his dog gates out of old tent poles, plastic trellis and thin plumbing pipes. Depends on whether you like DIY!

Thanks for all the help. Have located a roller blind type gate on John Lewis website for Ģ55. Cheap for a safe baba, but expensive for parents who've handed their life's savings and a little more to a MH dealer recently!

May try shutting the door in the short term...
