I am in South of France at the moment. I got up this morning to see the most beatiful countryside. There was a thick frost and the sun was bright but slightly golden.

Typical by the time I had got myself up and dress the sun had cleared the frost so no photo's. But it got me in the mood to take some pictures. I went out for a walk with the camera and the colors were incredible. Everything was still slightly wet from the frost and the lowish gold colour of the sun made colours really POP.

Now I am not even an amateur photographer so had no real Idea what I was doing but set the camera onto the setting with the little picture and took some photos for the Desktop on my my laptop.

Here are the two that I think are my best. If anyone can give any tips to improve them I would appreciate it as I am getting up very early tomorow to spend a few hours taking pictures down here.

I have increased the saturation in Gimp on these photos so if they appear oversaturated on your screen sorry Sad

Cheers
Karl

Hi Karl

Earlier today the website where the pictures are located was down ( not working Wink ) ...I have no idea why ...but it is OK now.

The server was apparently playing silly buggers. I had fixed it before I came onto the forum so didn't actually realise my site was on that particular server sorry guys.

The pictures are full size as different ppl have different sized desktops and didn't want to reduce them too much. The thing I have notice since posting here is that if you zoom in on the grass to the left of the leaves you can see the dew drops hanging from the grass stems Smile

The weather this morning was bad, we have had a thick mist all day Sad

A relative of my G/F Ex died yesterday so she has had to leave me as she needs to babysit her son. Her mother has also left to go to her sons for Christmas so I am in this lovely house in the middle of nowhere on my own. I have never experienced so much peace and quiet... It is wonderfull. Just hope we have a clear day tomorow so I can go out and take some more Photos.

Anyway, any tips for me on Photography pls? Wondering if there is anything I can do to improve my photo's?

Karl
