loughrigg,
My favorite own shot was Durdle door my favorite shortlisted image was the kid in the pebbles.
Regarding gear, This was shot on a mechanical Nikon F2AS with a 300mm f2.8 on tri X film scanned on a Nikon coolscan V ed.
For digital I've been using a Nikon D300 but I have just got a D700 so that I can use all of my old Nikkors.
I have not shot much with it yet but it is great having that big viewfinder back and the old lenses take some beating. I may well be selling it and the D300 soon to fund a new D3x!

Now I'm really impressed - I don't think I've ever seen an F2AS; when it was introduced (1980?) I think I was still using an instamatic!!

I'm just getting back into photography after a long break - but digital only (Canon 40D + G10). At the moment, its a contest between buying bits for the MH or that slighter longer/faster prime for the 40D - I won't be queing up for a D3x (or equivalent) for a decade or two.

Mike
