Hi All.

My wife Ann has just bought for our van a cooker called a "Remoska" on the recommendation of a friend whose mother has a m/h. I was a bit sceptical at first as it was £99.99, but worth every penny I now say. It looks like a slow cooker but the heating element is in the lid. We plugged it in at home to try out, Its fantastic, it cooks everything an oven can cook and more but in less time. In the last week we have not used our oven at home once and even did our sunday dinner with it. It only uses 650 watts so can be run off of an inverter or mains hook up. We have decided to remove the oven from our Burstner, fit a microwave in the housing and take the Remoska with us when we start fulltiming. I wish we had found this cooker years ago. Their web site is www.lakelandlimited.co.uk If anyone is interested in this cooker and is going to the Peterborough show there is a store at 7-8 Church Street Peterborough. Although this is a very new thing to us I expect there are many of you full timers that have already heard of this or possibly have one but we just wanted to share out good fortune in finding this with everyone else.

I believe this is a favourite with many m\homers and I would like one but cannot afford it at present. I think one member said,and this actually could refer to a slow cooker and not this one, that they chuck in their dinner into the pot, secure it safely in the sink, drive all day and then dinner is ready when they stop for the night.

There was one for sale tonight in the Manchester Evening News hardly used. Can't remember whether it was £15 or £35 but if it makes a diference I could ask someone to get me the advert.

We tried to buy one before Xmas but Lakeland were sold out of the smaller ones and they seem to be having problems obtaining more, We did try the big one but took it back as it was a bit too big for our van.
