I would appreciate some info/experience. I have seen related subjects but not exactly the same. Apologies if I have missed something already posted.

My wife and I are going full-timing shortly, but we would like to keep our current GP (who is marvellous). We also require regular medication (nothing serious but we need repeat prescriptions).

What do full-timers do for a GP? And how do you get your repeat prescriptions? What would be the implications of just "not telling" the GP?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there

Our accomodation address is in London (they forward our business mail) and I think officially we live there. A lot of my personal stuff is still based on me living with my parents in Cambridge which is where my GP is. I told her I was travelling on a motorhome and she just asked where I was going! I think most official bodies just want you to have an address to put in their boxes and don't care whether you live there or not, as long as you can get the mail.

The only repeat prescription I get is contraceptives which don't really count since they'll give you 3 months worth without seeing your record. You can be a temporary patient somewhere for 3 months without registering properly, so that's what we've done.

There was a series on full-timing in MMM recently and I remember a picture of pills... will see if I can find it.

Lizzie
