Are we talking cab or leisure battery here? I have had no problems with cab battery but the leisure battery is always flat after being stood 3 weeks or so. I have a 2005 Boxer/Elddis.

I used to have one of these and had no problem with either battery.
Have you made sure that the isolating switch is OFF?

Hi

Yes, the isolating switch was switched off, I think it is the security system draining the battery.

I recently purchased a new Elddis Sunseeker 130 (Nov 0Cool my first motor home. If I do not use the motor home for 2 or 3 weeks the battery goes flat. My dealer informs me that this is a known problem with this model with no solution. They suggest I purchase a 12v solar battery charger to keep the battery topped up when not in use. Does any one else have this problem?[/size]

i have a sunseeker 120 and the battery goes flat if unused for 10 days!!!!

This is an old thread that has suddenly started up again. There have been other threads on the same topics more recently.
I see that I suggested that a 10W solar panel would keep the battery charged up. Experience tells me that this is nothing like enough. I have a 140W panel now which is fine except from November -February when I use a mains lead. That is probably rather larger than required however.

Started my Elddis autoquest 120 2007 model this week after it hadn't been used since early October.

I know it doesn't help but it may point to a fault on your van

I have had a 2009 & now have a 2010 Boxer Autosleeper panel van motorhome. Both have suffered from flat batteries if left for more than 3 weeks, This can be very dodgy as its parked on my drive without access to the door locks - so if key fob does not work Im stuck. After every trip when I return I plug into the mains & select the vehicle battery on the control panel inside. This then charges the van battery. I bought a small dash top solar panel from Maplin but that was no good as its output was not enough to keep the battery topped up. I suppose its all the electronics on board that drains the battery.
