Why does everything have to be downloaded, why can't we open it in a new window as seems to be the standard then save it if relevant.

Fantastic the light becomes brighter for me. I now understand all the abbreviations and how to weigh the bus.

Thank you

If you are referring to the FAQs being in an ordinary thread this is a temporary measure I expect they will become downloads for the reasons stated on the download page. Sprokit's FAQ was already a download.

Yep, agree very informative, still think the way to get it is over the top.

Pete...if I might explain since it is up to me that is it posted this way.

The set of FAQ articles that are posted in this section for comment have all been written recently to be posted in this section and so are all sent directly to the forum by their authors.

The article written by Sprockit - as well as others you will notice - were written some time ago for a Resources downloads section of the website. In this section there are photographs and coloured diagrams etc. It is not easy to transfer these to the ordinary part of the section without loss of parts and a lot of work.

Rather than duplicate articles I asked the authors of these Resources if they were happy to have their article linked into the FAQ section and it seemed sensible to leave them as they are rather than trying to transfer them in another format.

The idea is that, once comments have been passed and articles amended if necessary, everything that you see in this section will be moved to a permanent part of the site. I don't know how to do this but I am sure Sprokits's article will be transferred with the rest and in the detail that it is in now.

I hope this answers your question - ?

Would love to read this but I don't do download documents>.<
Why are these being put into downloads? They would be more use as straight forward html pages? Plus they would be easier for the search engines to index possibly bringing in more subscribers?
