If you are not on hook up (and possibly if you are!) you might find cure the interference from the inverter by driving an earth stake into the ground and wiring it to the earth lead on the tv (take it into the plug and twist it onto the earth lead and into the earth pin).
Many inverters do not connect the earth pin on the 13amp socket.
Not sure that's a good idea, but not 100% sure, but there would be little point in wiring the earth pin, as I've yet to see an inverter utilising this pin.
The earth pin hole is there solely to remove the live and neutral pin hole covers as there is 230 Volts present when the inverter is plugged into 12volts and switched on.
That Ebay price looks good for the spec, our local caravan dealer wants about twice that much, the next step would be to put a hard drive into the TV, and then you'd be well sorted, but I think that will be the next big thing in TV, everything you need in one box, OK till one component goes kaput.
If you read the MHF FAQ on inverters you will see that these symptoms are due to the use of modified sine wave inverters with SOME TVs or sat receivers. Low level buzzing is very prevalent; lines on the TV are when you are really unlucky!
Never used this site before so don't know if I am posting this in the right place;
FAO averhamdave, hate to be the bearer of bad news but I bought an identical akura tv at makro this morning for £106 + vat. Don't know if it's too late for you to cancel order. For what it's worth, It's a cracking little tele. They also had similar priced tv's, including umc, but this one seemed the best.
Sorry about this but it makes a change for me not to be on the receiving end!

Kev.
Humax did that a long time ago, we have had a 32" LCD with hard drive since Nov 2005... Guess what !!! Hard drive packed up and would clunk away all night as you watched TV..
That TV on ebay looks good with only 2 amps drain....
Currently we have a UMC 15" LCD TV/DVD that has a 12v socket with seperate mains adaptor. I use it with a lead direct from the 12v socket to the 12v plug in the van (apache 700).. Not had an issue at all...
Here it is.. UMC TV
got exactly the same TV, and use the 12v lead on it when we're not on hook up; no problems at all.

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Bognor.
