I have a Sky Pace Digibox 1000 12volt.
This is the problem!- My Oyster finds the satellite, the signal test on the digibox menu says full strength, full quality, OK & locked. BUT NO TV PICTURE. The box says " searching for listings" but no picture and no listings.
Has worked perfectly till yesterday. Have tried down powering for a period.... no good. Tried updating software ( Power off... Power on holding Backup in until all lights come on ) after 5-8 mins finished update... STILL no picture.
Anyone help.
Is the box a GONNA or what.
Thanks.
PS. Am at Peterborough show.

This happens with my Oyster/Pace 12v digibox now and again. I finish up with an on-screen message 'no satellite signal'. I've always managed to resolve it either by switching the digibox off-on momentarily or, if that fails, by retracting the dish and starting again - sometimes twice or more. On one occasion when I was having a particularly difficult time with it, I got distracted and left it on with the 'no signal' message and when I came back ten minute later it was working ok. Just now and again it seems to have a tantrum! I've never been able to work out whether the fault is in the Oyster or the Digibox and never needed to as it's always started working in the end.

A trick I learned earlier on is to note whether the date and time come up - if they do it does mean that the Oyster HAS locked on properly even tho' the message may be 'no satellite signal'

My home Pace box does this. I switch the thing off from the mains for 30 seconds and start again. It seems to work but gawd only knows why.

This is likely to be the most unscientific reply you will receive so apologies if it turns out to be complte nonsense. Most of my posts are!

Thankls, I can confirm that the screen displays the correct time and date..... JUST NO PICTURE!!.
It seems that the box is receiving the information via the dish but is unable to convert it into a picture or process the information.
Sounds like its destined for the big wheelie bin in the sky ( no pun intended), although i do like the Pace box for its minature dimensions, its 12 volt ability and the fact that it takes my sky card from home and works ( well worked!!) perfectly without being paired to the card.
EBAY here i come........ Now, Who wants my money!!!

My home box is doing the same, I can get Sky3 and a few other channels. I have moved the dish, could I be receiving the wrong satellite?

Trev.

Just for a check, Remove the scart and replace it and try again, These boxes are usually VERY reliable and Hardy.

Hi, I have always found SDS Satellite very helpful. If you're at the show it would be a perfect time to test the suppliers/sellers of these systems. You can lock onto a satellite but you need the correct network ID and transport stream to appear etc. I think SDS also sell refurbished boxes.

Check its locked on

[services] [4] [6]

Should read 07d4 in the transport stream

Lock indicators should be OK

You should have decent amounts of signal strength and quality (>60%)
