Hi All,

Those that know me will not be surprised to know that I have succumbed!

Bought the Nikon 70 - 200 2.8 VR lens and the Nikon D700 camera body.

The lens has arrived and is superb, so the Sigma 70 - 200 2.8 is up for sale.

The D700 should be here tomorrow. All excited and ready to play for the weekend.

The D200 will be up for sale and D300 will then become my back up and Eleanors camera.

Regards

Chris

Chris,
This is a great rig.
I use the D700 a lot as its so much lighter than the D3 and in many ways its actually better.
The 70-200 is great and vies with the 80-400 for quality with the advantage that its much smaller.
Good luck with your new kit and dont forget to post some results.
Richard

Chris you and your toys Laughing

Cant wait to see the pictures that you take with this one. I am also waiting to see Eleanor's pictures. Thought of her at the weekend when I saw a pink electric bike at the Peterborough show. I said to Kevin I can see Eleanor on that. (just as well you were not there to spoil her.

Hi Sonja,

You might be right about the pink bike and being spoilt! But hey that's what Dad's are for.

Eleanor must mentioned over breakfast that we need to put some of her photos on one of our photography forums. Will copy them over here when I get it sorted.

She is very excited about moving up to Dad's D300!

Regards

Chris

Hi Stew,

I reckon I will get found out! Laughing

Blxxdy bank on line transfer has caused me a delay yet again. I decided to use online banking to speed things up. Paid on Monday and still not cleared.

Will be having a word with Lloyds today. Been with them for 34 years and will leave them unless they can sort it out!

Hopefully it will clear today so it can be shipped for arrival tomorrow and allowing me to play over the weekend.

Regards

Chris

Hi All,

BANKS!!!

The truth comes out! It seems the government has told UK banks that they have to implement 2 hour transfer via the internet by the end of the year. Some banks have done this, others have not. Guess what? Lloyds are still testing!

What really rankles is that if I had telephoned them they could have transferred instantly! Can you believe that? So if anyone else is going to make or receive a payment from Lloyds use the telephone instead!

Best regards

Chris

Nice lens Chris enjoy. I've been toying with the ides of swapping my 80-200 2.8 for one but they're not cheap. The VR is worth a stop or two
