Just following up the harsh ride story: the local Hymer/Eriba agent was (perhaps predictably) useless and really not interested in doing anything but selling new vehicles. So I'm back on my own again and looking for advice from you experienced and knowledgeable gentlemen and ladies.

I still think the answer is softer front shock absorbers. Does anyone have experience of fitting after market shock to the FWD Ford Transit? I notice Koni doesn't even have an agent in France!

I wouldn't fit Continental Van tyres again either. I'll give Michelin a go when the time comes to see if I get a sofer ride.

Bump bump

My Hymer is a Transit chassis. Excellent but I have no other experience. 2007 built, 2008 registered so a Mk7 I think!

I was certainly surprised how easily a fully loaded 3 500 kg vehicle gets about.

Don't forget the 3 year Ford warantee and make sure the dealer gets the warantee to start from first reg, not from when it was delivered to Hymer.
