Hello all,

I've been trawling the internet the past few days helping my parents look for a new motorhome, they are particularly interested in the Dethleffs Advantage A-class 6501B.

We have had caravans and motorhomes over the years, but now with my sister and me in university, my parents are looking for a comfortable and practical MH for their needs.

What do you think of this model, and the company as a whole, could you offer any advice?

Thanks in advance, Ryan.

Hi Ryan

I can't comment on the particular model you are talking about, but we bought our Dethleffs new 3 years ago and nothing has gone wrong Very Happy Very Happy

Would definitely buy another Very Happy Very Happy

BTW we bought ours from Lowdhams at Nottingham, and have found them excellent to deal with, no complaints there either Very Happy

As other post, not that model. We have a low profile 2 berth Fortero and had an issue with warranty. we got in contact with Dethleffs, Germany and they were fab. Nothing yet has dropped off, gone wrong etc - It is on the transit base. If it's on the fiat base ensure you reverse etc and look at the Fiat problem on this forum and other forums before parting with your cash - not trying to put you off as I have no experience of this base, just what I have read on this forum and others. I would certainly buy another Dethleffs, it does what it says on the tin for us.

Thanks for that, I've had a look at the forum, and the Fiat problem seems to be quite common Sad
