Hi Stew,
I would love to come but we are down in Dorset and I have hip problems at the moment so we are limiting our touring area to suit. However if you could help me on one query I would be grateful. I take my photos on setting 5m. Which usually brings them out sizewise to circa 1.37mb and 2592x1944. I usually resize them using Paint-image-resize, usually to 30% for emails. But I know there is something else on Vista I can use to specifically resize by pixels: an example Carthago owners uk want 1024x768 for their website. If you could guide me in the right direction would be grateful. Just one other point whilst here, on my vista I have all my pictures in Windows Gallery but today I have clicked on my pictures shortcut and there are non of my photo folders there!! It should be under documents 'My pictures' shouldn't it.
Love you pictures,
Wendy
Try this, http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm when you've got it on your PC, if you need to know how to do anything just ask and you'll get help, it's free to use and does a lot of simple tasks, quite a few on here use it.
How conversant do you need to be with Photoshop? It sounds as if you need to be pretty adept with it. Is that a fair assessment?
I'd love to go but I don't want to waste my money on something that's way above my head. Perhaps you could give me some detailed advice.
Well I'm going and I wouldn't describe myself as adept more a meddler. We can both sit on the naughty stair if we can't keep up

We will be covering photoshop over the weekend so if anything is over your head on the Friday we will explain at leisure on Saturday and Sunday.
At the last weekend, last month we took attendees from having just looked at photoshop to understanding layers in easy steps so don't worry.
The Friday training is new to me. I do understand calibration and the requirements for it but I do not know what I don't know until I have attended Fridays training - if you know what I mean..........

That's reassuring
I can't commit as yet because I would be flying from Belfast to EMA and staying with my daughter in South Notts so need to sort the logistics. Before I book flights etc are you able to confirm that the course will definitely take place on those dates?
The only reason it will not take place is if we do not get enough numbers to cover the cost of the Friday event. The Saturday and Sunday will be ok though

Ok, sounds good. I'll come if I can get the arrangements in place. Will confirm asap. How many do you need for the Friday?
Still only me booked - can't believe it mind you there are people who don't even use OEM cartridges in their printers
