It's speed related and not to do with engine revs. The only parts which could induce a speed related wobble are the diff, the drive shafts, the wheel bearings or the wheels and tyres or a suspension problem like maybe a bad ball joint or knackered bushes. A good mechanic would not miss the last two.
The wheels and tyres have been ruled out, a worn diff is noisy and hard to miss. The good mechanic would have picked up on any wheel bearing problems I hope. That almost certainly leaves the drive shafts in my opinion. A couple of drive shafts will not cost a fortune if you don't buy from Fiat and at the age of the van they may be nearing the end of their useful life. That's what I would try or you could drive till either it gets worse and something breaks. It's unlikely that there would be a safety issue in doing that except that when it does break it might happen in a bad place, motorway etc., Alan.
I have a friend with the same problem as yours. I was wondering if you have had it solved and would be so kinds as to tell me what the fault was.
Many thanks

As I said yesterday , tell your friend to take it to a main dealer , I can assure you that if a Driveshaft is faulty it's running out of balance and is putting untold strain on the diff. bearings and I'm not trying to a scare anyone , but, if it is a drive shaft that's faulty and it breaks I have seen it happen it might meet the occupants in the cab!!, don't put it off believe me I have been in the motortrade for more years than I would like to say , a vehicle is a mechanical object not like a human in some circumstances it does not repair itself .

New to the forum so was just looking through and came across your issue.
I used to work at peugeot main dealer and have known this issue be caused by the small support bearing on the offside driveshaft breaking up/worn. I hope you have already found the cause and had it rectified but if not I hope this helps.
Hi Hilary
Did you get to the bottom of the wobble problem, we are starting to get the same prob on our 95 pug 2.5D 320 MWB on a Compass drifter 360e at 76k miles. Wheel bearings, suspension & steering joints, wheels/tyres all ok. About 1mm sideways sprung movement in both drive shafts but also 1mm rotary play in driverside inboard CV joint.
Would be interested to know what caused yours.
