Can I suggest you don't trust them and look at the weight plate on it before taking off. I was told my previous van (Hymer) was legal for me to drive. It wasn't until some months later that I looked at the plate and saw it was 3800KG. When it comes to vehicles I never trust a sales man on anything anymore.
