my son uses one, which is about the size of a large watch. whilst cycling, can't remember the make or where i got it though but think it may have been through a link on the natural collection website.
I think the problem is that they won't have access to mains power where they are camping - kinda wild I understand. they are hiring people carriers and a van to get about - so they will have cigarette lighter sockets!

And yes the van 12v charger would obviously be the answer.
But Americans are rarely far from a power point even in the woods. We watched some guys turn up to play some mamby pamby game of 'rounders' in a vast state park and plugged their cool box and radio into a tree. There were outlets all over the place.
I used to go into Bradford one years ago, and on checking there isn't even one in Europe let alone the UK
