There is a lot of useful information here but so far I haven't spotted anything about running the wires neatly from the hole in the roof to the batteries.

In a house I am used to cutting channels in walls and re-plastering, and using various other means to conceal wires.

How do you do this in a motorhome?

Do you e.g. run wires from the roof down inside the wardrobe and then under the van and up again?

The existing wiring for lights etc. must run inside the roof area but how do you run new wiring without causing a lot of unsightly damage?

My camper is a Hymer B544 A Class.

TIA

hi ,
usually the wire feed from the roof panel goes through a small hole conceald with a conector box the through the internal cupboards and down the wall to the bench seats and is run around to the electric control box.

were the cable is visible [down the wall] hide it in trunking fixed to the wall in a appropriate colour to match. [available from most motorhome spare companies and cut to lenght]

when routed in the cupboard and floor area fix cable in place with cable tyes from Maplins and screw to floor/wall, all looks very professional .

Best to think were to route cable firts before deciding were to fix roof panel etc.
