Actually it was Mac that had the first Windows and MS copied them and coined the phrase Windows!
Commercially maybe, but Xerox Parc were using a windows GUI a decade earlier.
Unfortunately, there are still one or two applications that I like running under XP which have no Mac equivalent, so I use a MPB with parallels 4.0.

I was aware that Mac had the first commercial GUI/Windows product, indeed I still have one of there machines with inbuilt 9" mono monitor. As a Sales Manager for the first company to distribute Mac in the UK it was great going around printing companies. The moment you showed them how easy it was to move a picture and the text would automatically re paginate, they bought a complete system. In those days we are talking about £20k - £40k! I have most of my system including all the old software tucked away in one of my lofts somewhere.
