Hi Stew,

Actually it was Mac that had the first Windows and MS copied them and coined the phrase Windows! So there Stew!

New MacBook Pro 17" is awesome! Getting excited about the SSD drive which should be installed in a day or so.

Chris

Commercially maybe, but Xerox Parc were using a windows GUI a decade earlier. Very Happy

Unfortunately, there are still one or two applications that I like running under XP which have no Mac equivalent, so I use a MPB with parallels 4.0. Embarassed

Hi, Thanks for that link. A very interesting bit of info that I was not aware of.

I was aware that Mac had the first commercial GUI/Windows product, indeed I still have one of there machines with inbuilt 9" mono monitor. As a Sales Manager for the first company to distribute Mac in the UK it was great going around printing companies. The moment you showed them how easy it was to move a picture and the text would automatically re paginate, they bought a complete system. In those days we are talking about £20k - £40k! I have most of my system including all the old software tucked away in one of my lofts somewhere.

Regards

Chris
