Hello there.
I'm a motorhome ignoramus who needs your help!
I'm looking for a van with a u-shaped lounge (long enough for 2 single beds), reasonable storage space (for astronomy gear), at about the 6 metre mark. I don't want to go over £30K.
I found this.

Does anyone know anything about it?
I really don't know what to look out for, so I'm grateful for any help. Very Happy

Lulu

Why not go to one of the Motorhome shows...
Next one is The Northern Show @ Pickering from the 16th July
Then there is the Western show @ Malvin from the 14th Aug

More vans and choces there than you can shake a stick at.
Great place to gather all the infomation you need and to look at all the options available. New & Used, Most of the dealers big & small attened and provide all the help required.

We spent the weekend at Newbury (Tent Camping) looking at them all before deciding what we wanted and then searched all the dealers for that model once we got home, until we found one.
You may even be lucky to find what you want and get a show disscount (Don't hold your breath mind you)

Just to add Lulu.
We did see the Escape at the Newbury show and were rather impressed with it. however we wanted a little smaller van this time round.

Thanks for that.
I had, in fact, checked out the Malvern show on this site. I'm heading down to Salisbury for a star party on that weekend, so I may stop off on the way: (if I can persuade my best friend to do it. As long as I promise her lots of shoe-shopping opportunities, it should be fine! Very Happy )

The Escape range is a new and very low priced alternative to Swifts normal ranges.
They have had extremely good reports in the MH press. In fact the reports and awards lead me to think that the press is only looking at the price. Wink

Would not think anyone has had much practical experience, to new, but the range has won awards the lastest being the CC top award for motorhomes.

I dont wish to be a killjoy, and will probably get castigated by some on here, but can I suggest you scan through the massive 'juddergate' thread on here regarding the x250 vehicle that the Escape is based on.

I know it has influenced my recent purchase and others on here. Just giving my 2p worth.

I had dipped into that thread, but hadn't read it all because it was so enormous!
(Lazy girl!)
I read the end and saw that owners were still having problems, but I surmised that their vans were 2 or 3 years old.

Surely Fiat aren't still making new vans with the same difficulty?

Lulu, i feel the juddergate complaint may be down to driver not using the clutch correctly, the escape has won awards but why not search for a pre-registered one and let someone else lose the money?
