when i pick up my motor home that i have hired from Carefree motor home and set of into the night and have fun, where can i park when i get tired? like for example its 10pm and its dark. We have no Campsites booked but we need to stop to get some rest, where do i stand if i want to park up in a layby or a BIG service station on a motorway!!
Can anyone give me some stories of when they did this etc etc
You do not say where or what part of country you are going but here is what we have done UK say A1 have parked many times in deep layby with HGV, In service areas by paying about a fiver, other places where it is off the road. France etc Aires, in woods, up mountains just about where ever we get tired..
sorry Longleat first ( i hear they have a campsite on the grounds) stay there for 2 nights and then off to Dawlish for 2 nights on a campsite and then we have one night spare which i like to wild camp in a nice place
i haven't booked the sites yet but thinking ahead if we are unable to if you catch my drift
yes, you can park up in loads of places, but you've got to find them first - not easy when you're tired & don't know the area.
and sorry to maybe disappoint you, but getting into the caravan club site at longleat isn't easy - they are normally full up for weeks ahead, so unless you get a booking, don't bother

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Bognor.

Wtch out on motorway service stations - they often hve not-easy-to-see signs saying you must pay after 2 hours or get clamped. Most use contractors to do the clamping and they get paid on commission. Net result is they are not reasonable about it
